Bio

My passion for travel started when I was young and lucky enough to be taken by my parents on some wonderfully exotic holidays that I’d done nothing to deserve. Alluring trips to Malaysia, Australia and California were interspersed with rain-soaked weeks in Cornwall, just to keep my feet on the ground. Many years later and that fire is still alive although these days I have to pay for my own holidays.

I’ve covered many countries and I also spent a few years living and working in Canada, France and Italy. I loved the thrill of immersing myself into new ways of life, learning a new language and living through my first Canadian winter and coming through the other side unscathed. I’m back in the UK now but my passport rarely gathers dust. I also know everything there is to know about Birmingham.

I’ve written feature articles, city guides, round-ups and blog posts for publications across four continents and I can provide high-resolution photography. Drop me an e-mail at jamesmarch.travel@gmail.com if you’d like to work with me.
